I was easily getting armor from quests but it seemed the only weapons were swords, bows, and Staffs. My biggest beef is sceptre's seem a bit harder to come by but that is ok, I need something to focus on anyway. Using Sceptre/Shield and Cloth armor I found the class enjoyable to play and quite good. The actual DPS is high, and the mana spent per damage is literally 10% of what most other abilities are.īY the way in terms of weapon? Watcha think? Don't use your big AOE CCs and stuff that cost 300+ mana on a single target, when mana stars costs 20 mana and does more damage. Spam the crap out of it as much as possible. Name is Talonus You're going to want one of 8 sets of armor, each piece of which is completely random to the crafter making it ( >.01% chance of even being crafted, then a 1 in 8 chance of it being the set item you want). You can spend weeks farming up some dungeon/dropped gear, and have ~60-65% of what a top end crafted set gives. This directly translates to a ~30% DPS advantage over me, with my 283 DPS weapon.Īrmor is even worse. A tier 3 crafted 1h weapon of a high rarity, which has >.01% chance of being crafted (for a base cost *just in materials* of around 800g) and would cost several thousands of gold if it was sold on the auction house, can have upwards of 420 DPS. When I hit level 50, I spent weeks grinding mobs for honor tokens in Hasla to get a 1h weapon with 283 DPS and Heroic rarity (this is better than weapons that sell for ~1000 gold on the AH).

Just saying, Druid/Paladin (for tanky heal hybrids) and Inquisitor/Ranger (for shadowplay heal hybrids) will be really nasty once geared.ĭoes that mean that people that come into the game 1-2 years in, will have a very very rough time (as in, no fat chance of ever winning a fight), the first 6-10 months they play? I think a really well geared hybrid healer will be nearly unbeatable 1v1 once people start getting good gear 4-6 months after launch.
